Today I visited the Vriendendag at the Textielmuseum in Tilburg. This meant that I could do a lot of reading on the train first (and afterwards), which was nice.
Then, during one of the presentations at the Vriendendag, we were invited by Anke Werker(who spoke about her children's book 'Blij als ik brei') to do some knitting on a mega-scarf while she did her presentation, so that was nice too.
There was also plenty of time to stroll about the Textiellab, and to spend some money in the Shop, so I had a really good day!
This week I've been home more than usual, and I've made a lot of progress on my cross-stitching project.
This is what it looked like 6 weeks ago
and this is what it looks like now :-)
Today I enjoyed visiting the exhibition of romantic fashion at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. The exhibition shows romantic fashion from the end of the 18th century until the beginning of the 20th century, as well as fashion by contemporary fashion designers who were inspired by the fashion from this period. Also on display were some garments worn in the t.v. series Pride and Prejudice and Downton Abbey. Being a great fan of both series, I really enjoyed seeing those too.
